The Appleton™ Explosionproof Rigmaster™ LED Luminaire by Emerson provides comfortable, uniform illumination for any Class I, Division 1 hazardous task lighting application. With its low profile design, versatile mounting options and safety centric elements, it is easy to install and delivers 60,000+ hours of operation with minimal maintenance. The standard version delivers from 4,300 to 7600 lumens of uniform light. The emergency battery backup version, with 90- or 180- minute modes, provides up to 1350 lumens of egress lighting.
To help achieve a good balance between workplane brightness and comfortable illumination, three color temperatures and two lumen packages are available in 2 and 4 foot sizes. By offering a variety of mounting options, Rigmaster is well suited for retrofits as well as new rig builds. A hinged wiring compartment with captive hardware provides ease of access for installation or maintenance. A wide light distribution provides maximum area coverage and reduces the number of fixtures required to illuminate a given area.

The fixture also meets IP66 rating requirements and is tested to withstand powerful jets of water. Four casted-in openings for safety cable retention help secure the fixture, which is critical on drilling rigs. The mounting bracket is designed to ensure the luminaire will stay in position regardless of vibration up to 4G levels at resonance frequency and maintain its structural integrity.
